My musher is named Martin Buser. The Iditarod is ran in Alaska. The Iditaod is cool. The checkpoint,Galena, from Nome is 445miles. The dogs are fast. You can spend time with your dog. I would like to be in the Iditarod this year. It cost $3,000 to get in to the Iditarod. I want Mairtin Buser to win.

You should be excited about the Iditarod because the Iditarod is a Alaskan dog sled race. The race runs from Anchorage to Nome. There are lots of mushers in the race. The race is very long. The track goes over frozen lakes. If you win you get $68,000. There are 22 check points. There are 96 mushers this year. It goes by Mt. Mckinley. It cost $3,000 to play. There are 12 to 16 dogs on one sled. My check point was Mc Garth. You can be killed because it can get very cold. Mushers drop out every year. Libby Riddles was the first woman to win the Iditarod. Martin Buser set a record for the best time. His time was 8 days and 22 hours. There is a book about the Iditarod. It's title is Stone Fox. My musher is Paul Gebhardt. Mushers have to pack a lot of gear to go. The loser wins the Red Lantern. If you trust the dogs they trust you.
I'm excited because I want my guy Lance Mackey to win. I looked him up and he doesn't look as good as I thought he would. I hope Lance Mackey wins this year, like he did last year. If I was in the race I would have to take all the money in my savings acount to enter! There are a lot of dangers like, slippery mountains, blizards,and a hole bunch of things. You probably have to train and work very hard.
The iditarod is a race with dogs sled racers and their dogs. My guys name is Rick Swenson. I want him to win this year. The ceremonial start is in Anchorage. The real start is in Willow. The Iditarod has lots of rough terrain. Some of the race is over frozen rivers and lakes. You go across the Bering Strait. I can't wait for the Iditarod to start.
I'm excited about the Iditarod race, because I get to mail my musher. My musher is Mitch Seavey,he won the 2004 Iditarod. There is a good chance of dieing, because you have to cross frozen rivers and other dangerous things. I hope Mitch Seavy wins because he has only won once.
People should be excited because it is a very good race this year. The rookies might win. I am excited because my musher is Jeff King. He has won more then one Iditorod race. There are 96 mushers. There is a $3,000 entry fee. There is a chance to die out there because you can break through the ice. I want Jeff King to win this year because he might share the money with me!
My mushers name is Aliy Zirkle. The Iditarod is the oldest dog sled race. I want Aliy Zirkle to win this year. She has won first place one time. The Iditarod's entry fee is $3,000. If you win, you get $68,000. If you stay in the race you get $1,049. Lance Mackey won last year. The race takes place in Alaska. You start in Anchorage and end in Nome. You can travel over one thousand miles. You can travel over snow and land. Sixteen people have already pull out of the race. There are 22 checkpoints that you cross. Martin Buser has the world record time of 8 days and 22 hours. The last person who crosses the finish line gets to blow out the Red Lantern.
This year in the Iditarod there are 96 mushers. When you start you may start with 16 dogs and end with 5. The race starts in Acchorage and ends at Nome. When one of the mushers come to Nome the children may come out of school to meet the musher. Sometimes some of the mushers give the children some of the dogs boots.
I know that the race starts at Anchroage and ends at Nome.The last person to cross the finish line gets to blow the red lantern out.The Iditarod race entry cost 3,000 dolars. Mushers bring food. You may have 12-16 dogs on your team. I hope John Baker wins this years.
